Ewa Rosiek-Buszko

Born in Gliwice. Lives and works in Kraków. She graduated from the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Nowy Wiśnicz, specialising in artistic ceramics. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, at the Faculty of Interior Architecture and at the Faculty of Graphic Arts (film drawing). She received her diploma in 1979. Certified teacher. She creates her own hand-made papers, textiles and unique ceramics. She paints in pastels and watercolours. Co-founder and curator of exhibitions of the Silesian Przekaz Group, which has been active in the field of weaving since 1991. Member of the Union of Polish Artists and Designers (ZPAP) since 1979. Member of InSEA, the International Society for Education through Art. From 2002 to 2014 she was a board member and vice-president of the Association of Artist-Educators of Ceramics and Sculpture. Author of the "Paper Gami" workshops, on the basis of which she conducts classes and lectures on hand-made paper. Author of the idea for the project WASHI no FUSHIGI – THE MYSTERY OF PAPER, realised in Poland and Japan in 2019–2020. She has taken part in over 200 exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including in England, Austria, France, Italy, Germany, Moldova, Ukraine, and in a series of exhibitions in the USA and Japan. Works in the collections of: the Silesian Museum, the Museum of Katowice History, the Craft Museum in Krosno, the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź, the Paper Museum in Duszniki-Zdrój, the Piaristen Kunstforum in Vienna/Austria, the National Paper Museum in Mino/Japan, and in private collections in Poland, England, Austria, France, Japan, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, the USA and Italy.
