About the artist

Born in Kalisz in 1956. He studied at the Higher Pedagogical School (WSP) in Częstochowa and received his diploma in 1981 under Prof. Zygmunt Zimny. Author of 58 solo exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including New York, Berlin, Helsinki, Aichach, Ham, Alkmar, Warsaw, Poznań, Wrocław and Kalisz. He has taken part in 153 group exhibitions in Poland, France, the Netherlands, Greece, the USA, Finland, Japan, Hungary, Croatia and Belgium. Winner of 21 nationwide painting competitions. A seeker of old objects and of the time recorded in them. Artist of the painting series "Windows", "Discarded Objects" and "Palimpsests". His most recent ongoing series of miniatures, describing our reality and the war in Ukraine, is "Creativity in Times of Plague 2020–2022". Author of a painted travel diary, continued under the influence of touring Europe and journeys to India, Mexico, Nepal, Tibet, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Georgia and Armenia. He lives and works in Kalisz.
