About the artist
Halina Nowicka
Halina Nowicka is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. Her diploma covered clothing design and painting, in the studio of Prof. Wiesław Garbaliński. After a period of working in fashion and interior design, she has focused on painting since 1995. In 1997 she won first prize in the "Still Life Triennial" competition, and in 2015 she received an honourable mention. Her work has been presented in, among other places, France, Croatia, Germany and the Netherlands. In May 2026 Kersten Gallery showed her paintings together with the works of Tomasz Klimczyk in the exhibition "ZOOM".
