About the artist
Bente Kluge
Bente Kluge is a sculptor associated with Sopot. She works in bronze, ceramics, glass, wood and resin. Her experience includes doll design and studies in the sculpture studio of Edward Sitek at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. In a text included in the artist's portfolio, Sławoj Ostrowski draws attention to the economy of detail, balanced proportions and reflective character of her figures. The artist herself names memories, impressions and thoughts as important sources of her work.
