About the artist
Małgorzata Jenta-Dmitruk
Małgorzata Jenta-Dmitruk (b. 1959) works in painting and printmaking. In 1986 she graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, in the intaglio printmaking studio of Andrzej Pietsch. She was a scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and Art. Her paintings feature recurring rhythmic arrangements of signs and motifs, intense colours and a pronounced paint texture. The compositions are often closed by a decorative border. The artist received an award in the "Mały Format" (Small Format) competition in Kraków.
