SWIMING POOL VAI 70

Description

About the work

On a pink poolside terrace lies a woman in sunglasses, her head on an orange-red cushion and her hands clasped on her stomach. Her knees are bent, and her attire is limited to bikini bottoms. Behind her gleams turquoise water with steps, and the sharp, grey-blue shadow of an agave falls across a low wall. Further on stretches a pale sea, hills turn pink near the horizon, and the sky shifts from cool blue to a delicate pink. Cool blues and turquoise set against powdery pink create the palette of a warm summer afternoon. The sky and sea are painted smoothly, almost without a trace of the brush, the terrace and towel with freer strokes. The scene gives the impression of a moment in which the heat quietens everything. The large format and light tonality will bring the light of midday into a spacious living room.
