Maciej Urbaniak

He was born in Kraków. He exchanged the bustle of the big city for the peace of a country garden and lives in Modlnica near Kraków. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. The very name Alma Mater became the motto of his painting. Maciej Urbaniak's paintings are full of colour and decorative, painted with a mosaic-like rigour. With their magical charm and shimmering ornament, they arouse curiosity, but the underlying expression of these paintings confirms the impression of a deeply rooted and intriguing provocation. The artist has taken part in many solo and group exhibitions. He works continuously with renowned galleries in Poland and abroad. His paintings are held in many private collections.
