About the artist

Kolektyw THESEUS

THESEUS – an art collective established by Aleksandra Cupiał and Szymon Parafiniak in 2016. In their works the artists concentrate above all on the search for energy, light and movement. The artists work in painting, printmaking, sculpture and video. The leading motif in the works of the THESEUS collective is the sign of the labyrinth. Since 2019 the artists have been creating a cycle titled ELEMENTA – inspired by Empedocles’ ancient Greek concept of the elements and by Plato’s regular polyhedra.
